The only constant is change!
Works Constitution Act: Works council participation amidst company changes (WoCo 4)
More often than not, economic affairs are intertwined with a business or company’s changing conditions or radical restructuring. Work environments and procedures are fundamentally changed, divisions are closed, departments are restructured or outsourced. Jobs are often at risk, and the working conditions almost always change. At the same time, new skills become essential.
Often, these changes are gradual and barely noticeable, but they sometimes come on suddenly, like an earthquake. They are nevertheless profound and impactful. At their core, they are always an immense challenge for the works council and the workforce.
In this training seminar you will learn to identify such processes at an early stage and thus significantly influence economic affairs through the works council’s mandate. In addition to the knowledge of legal provisions, you will also be provided with the necessary tools to choose the right strategy and successfully enforce foundational demands.
The training course at a glance:
- What's going on? Early detection of operational changes
- Who knows what? The works council’s right to information, and the employer’s obligation to inform the works council
- What’s possible? Assessing operational changes and their consequences
- Not without the works council! Participation in company change processes
- Stronger together: Cooperation between employees and the works council
- What do we want? Developing and enforcing demands
